Week 8 – Previs V4 – Feedback

Feedback for this week:

  1. Regarding the close-up shot with rapid color changes for the character, it’s advisable to remove it as it may confuse viewers and isn’t essential to the story.
  2. The repeated appearance of the clock before the ending serves as a transition, symbolizing the passage of time and the character’s repetitive life.
  3. There are some details in character movements, such as jumping and rotation, that require polishing to enhance overall animation quality.

Title animation

This week, I’m also tackling the title card. I’m using C4D ( yes, It is C4D ) for the simulation and then adding it to the video at the end. Since the main character explodes at the end, I want the title card “Happy Life” to explode too, ironically echoing the theme.

Working in progress of the animation in Maya:

I’ve noticed that reducing the number of keyframes for the character makes the animation smoother.

Some feedback from Geo:

After getting feedback from Geo, I’ve realized that adding squash to character movements makes them more dynamic. Additionally, I believe I need to enhance my ability to control timing in animation.

A reference I watch for the jumping part.
