Week 7 – Animation previs V3
It’s version 3…… Yeah…….
This week, I am working on adjusting the timing of the animation previs.
The feedback last week from Geo is as follows:
- The timing of two balls spinning is not evenly the same speed. Observe the space of keyframes and the position of the two balls, and make sure the speed is even to avoid one ball being fast and moving too slow suddenly.
- The time of each stage’s revealing should pause for two to three seconds to make sure the audience is reading the scenes.
- The explosion scene, in the end, adds a shaking movement to give the character a feeling of getting nervous and revealing something will happen next. It’s kind of like the prediction stage.
- To make the audience identify the different characters, I can design different colors for different characters to make sure they’re easy to recognize at first glance.
Well…..I’ve learned how important it is to get feedback from others on my film, so I can understand how viewers see it. Geo’s feedback helped me see areas where I can make my animation better.
For example, make sure things move at the same speed and give enough time for each part of the story to sink in. Adding some shaking in intense scenes and using different colors for characters can also make things clearer for the audience. It’s all about finding the right timing and making sure everyone can follow along easily.

There are some notes for myself to make the movement in the animation previs easier to understand.
- The spinning balls’ background is too plain. I need to include a scene-setting background to give the audience more context. Additionally, based on feedback from classmates, I could incorporate love symbols such as wedding rings, flowers, or heart-shaped icons to convey the theme of love or marriage.
- In the transition scene, as the main character prepares to go into the building and begin repeating his daily routine, the title will be unveiled within the building, displaying the words “start repeated daily life,” serving as a transitional element for this character.
- In the part where life repeats, I outline three typical daily routines to symbolize common public life: staying at home, commuting, and working. To depict these scenes effectively, I should initially slow down and possibly introduce additional plots, such as interactions involving the main character at home, to convey the story first and more effectively.
Work process

This week, I had a tough time animating a scene where two characters spin around. It was hard to adjust the keyframes with the moving camera. So, I tweaked the graphic editor to make the motion smoother and redid the animation several times.
