Final Major Project & Thesis

W1

  • Here is my FMP proposal: Link

I’m working on a New Year countdown animation because I’m graduating this year, and it feels like the start of a new chapter—just like New Year’s. I want to show everything I’ve learned in my final project at the LCC degree show.
  • Combining 2D and 3D for My Final MA Project
  • For my final MA project, I want to combine what I love with what I’ve learned. My experience in 2D motion graphics taught me how to tell stories through design, while my 3D animation studies introduced me to exciting new possibilities. This project will be a chance to merge these two skills, blending the energy of 2D with the depth of 3D.
  • I want this project to be fun and experimental, focusing on creating colorful and unique textures. I enjoy working with bold patterns, gradients, and mixing materials to make visuals that are exciting and full of life. This project is not just about showing my skills—it’s about making something I love while exploring new ideas and techniques.

Inspired by Spago Vino: Dynamic and Clean Motion Design

Another incredible motion graphic project that has influenced me is Spago Vino by a talented designer on Behance. What caught my attention is the dynamic motion in this work—it’s so fluid and energetic, making every transition feel alive. The movement creates a sense of rhythm that perfectly matches the overall aesthetic.

I’m also amazed by the color palette used in the project. It’s clean, neat, and carefully chosen to elevate the design without overwhelming it. The balance of simplicity and creativity in both the visuals and animation is truly inspiring.

This designer’s ability to combine dynamic motion with thoughtful color choices makes their work stand out as a benchmark of modern motion graphics. It’s the kind of work that motivates me to explore cleaner, more refined designs in my own projects. Check it out here: Spago Vino on Behance.

Inspired by Equilibrium: A Masterpiece of Motion Graphics

I recently came across a stunning motion graphic project titled Equilibrium on Behance, and it completely captivated me. The geometric style used throughout the work is nothing short of brilliant, showcasing a creative approach to viewing things from unique perspectives. Every detail feels intentional, and the design is both modern and timeless.

What truly stood out to me was the seamless transition between scenes. Each moment flowed effortlessly into the next, creating a mesmerizing visual journey that was impossible to look away from. The balance of beauty and aesthetics in the design makes it not only pleasing to watch but also incredibly inspiring. It’s the kind of work that you can watch over and over again, discovering new details with each viewing.

This project has deeply influenced me and reinforced my love for motion graphics. It’s a perfect reminder of how powerful design can be when it combines creativity, precision, and artistry. If you’re a fan of motion graphics, I highly recommend checking it out: Equilibrium on Behance.

Finding Inspiration for My Final MA Project

When deciding on the animation I wanted to create for my final MA project, I reflected on what truly inspires me. I thought back to a previous project I worked on: a 2D countdown animation for Google Think Commerce Taiwan. It was the first motion graphics project I felt deeply dedicated to and passionate about. Completing that project gave me a strong sense of achievement and reinforced my love for motion graphics.

As a 3D animation student now, I want to channel that same passion into creating 3D motion graphics for my final project. My goal is to combine what I’ve learned in both 2D and 3D animation, blending the two styles into something unique. By merging my skills, I hope to create a project that represents my journey and growth in animation. You can check out the project that inspired me here: 10s Countdown – Google Think Commerce Taiwan.
